About Us

Cabana is a friendly little cafe on Westbourne Terrace, just steps from the sand at Westward Ho! We're best known for our barista coffee and homemade cakes and flapjacks, alongside iced matchas, turmeric lattes and freshly blended smoothies. Our food runs from classic sausage baps and full breakfasts to brunch with a twist — bean bowls, breakfast tacos, Cubano toasties, and grilled halloumi or falafel with homemade hummus. Eat in on the terrace or in our covered seating area, which stays cosy even on blustery days, or take it with you for a walk along the beach. Dogs are always welcome, we're wheelchair accessible, and our team will always give you a warm welcome.

Our Story

Jo and Gareth started Cabana in 2018, just metres from Westward Ho! beach. Since then they've grown this humble cafe into a spot beloved of both locals and visitors to the area — serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks alongside homemade cakes, tray bakes and hot food, on the terrace or to takeaway.

In 2026, Jo and Gareth's daughter Mia took over the baton. She now runs Cabana alongside her Mexican food truck, Nach-Ho!, and a burgeoning events catering business.

Parking

There's parking on the Burrows, or use the council car park next to the slipway — both just a short walk from the cafe.
